I did two complete makeup looks, photographed them both and then put them together using InDesign. I used my phone and I made sure that I found the best natural light in my house and stood in front of a clear white background because I didn’t want anything to distract from my face. I had to make sure that I photographed my face from the exact same angle both times so that both sides of my face would match up perfectly.
I had to hurry because I didn’t want the light to change between the two photos.
Process
Absence makeup look
I covered my face with a white base so that the black eyes and lips would stand out. I used lots of black eyeliner and used black eyeshadow on my eyelids and up to my eyebrows. I used black stage makeup on my lips and finished with small black temporary tattoos.
Presence makeup look
For this makeup look I didn’t use a base colour, I kept my skin natural so that my freckles showed. I used bright colours because I knew they would contrast well when the two looks were put together, the turquoise eyebrows were a last minute decision and I’m really glad I did them. I changed the shape of my lips because I thought they would look totally different to the black lips on the other look.
