Exhibition
We installed the exhibition the day before it opened. When I was hanging my artwork I was worried the two wires wouldn’t hold the weight of the frame, I had never seen pictures hung in that way, I made sure the frame was level and that it was at the right height for people to view it.
I felt quite nervous before the Private View, I wasn’t sure if people would like my work and it felt strange to see people looking so closely at my face.
In the end I’m proud of myself and I think my artwork was successful, here are some comments from people who viewed my work:
‘Fantastic photograph, I admire the colours and what they symbolise’
Ben
‘I like the contrasting colours representing absence and presence, it works very well, especially with the different skin tones. I think it captures the idea perfectly’
Emily
‘I think this is amazing, it represents today’s society and the masks we wear’
Chrisna
‘I like how big the artwork is, it’s clear and impactful. Two Oona’s for one!’
